One-Bowl Chocolate Cake
Toss all the ingredients in one mixing bowl—mix, pour into a baking pan and bake—and you've got homemade chocolate cake.
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup water
3 large eggs
1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease 13x9x2-inch baking pan.
- In large bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa, butter, water, eggs, baking powder, baking soda, salt and vanilla; with an electric mixer on medium speed beat until smooth.
- Pour batter into prepared pan.
- Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely in pan on wire rack.
- Frost as desired.
