Onion Cranberry Chicken Bake
"The ingredients always surprise my guests when they ask for the recipe!" Recipe submitted by Ellen Walker.
1 whole chicken, cut into serving pieces
1 (16-ounce) can smooth cranberry sauce
1 (8-ounce) bottle of French dressing
1 (1-ounce) package dry onion soup mix
Hot cooked long-grain rice for accompaniment
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Place chicken into a 13x9x2-inch baking dish.
- Combine remaining ingredients into a sauce pan, heat over low heat until boiling; remove from hear and pour over chicken.
- Bake uncovered for 1 hour or until done, spooning sauce over every 15 minutes. Serve with cooked rice.
Makes 4 to 6 servings.
