Easy Chocolate Rice Pudding
Easy chocolate rice pudding using instant rice, a pudding mix and ready-to-use chocolate milk.
4 cups ready-to-use chocolate milk (or mix up your own to taste)
1 (4 serving size) package chocolate or vanilla pudding mix (cooked type, not instant)
1 cup instant rice
- In a medium saucepan, gradually stir milk into pudding mix. Stir in rice; cook over medium heat until mixture just comes to a boil, stirring frequently. Cool 5 minutes, stirring twice.
- Pour into bowl or individual dessert dishes. Cover surface with plastic wrap.
- Serve warm or chilled topped with whipped cream, if desired.
Makes 8 servings.
Variation: Prepare as directed. Cool to room temperature. Stir in 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips or chopped walnuts.
