Chocolate Sweet Pie
Serve this chocolate chip cookie pie warm with a scoop of ice cream or dollop of whipped cream.
1/2 cup butter
2 large eggs, beaten
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts
1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell
Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for accompaniment
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl cream together softened butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time and blend well after each addition. Add flour, blend well. Stir in semisweet chocolate chips and chopped nuts. Pour into unbaked pie shell.
- Bake 45 to 50 minutes, or center is set.
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
Makes 8 servings.
