Q: Should I use vegetable oil to thin out chocolate?
A: Vegetable oil is better than butter because it
does not contain water like butter does. However, melted vegetable
shortening works even better because it starts out more "solid"
and is less apt to interfere with the chocolate hardening as
it cools.
