I put too much brown sugar
in my baked beans!
Q: I put too much brown sugar in my baked beans, what
is the best way to counteract that? Maybe dejon mustard or worsteshire?
A: You're on the right track, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire
sauce or even a teaspoon or more of white vinegar can help to
balance out the sweetness from too much brown sugar. Another
option would be to add a can or two of "like" beans
to the pot. (Drain and rinse beans in a colander before adding,
though.)
