A: Homemade bread that is too dense and heavy is
probably the result of dough that was too dry. The solution is
to add a little more liquid, about a teaspoon at a time until
the consistency of the dough is just right...soft, but not wet.
Practice helps one to become familiar with the correct dough
consistency for breads.
