What kind of cheese should
I serve with chili?
Q: Hi Hope. I'm planning on making some chili this
evening. Fall is around the corner and I just feel like eating
comfort food. My question is what kind of cheese goes best with
chili. I'm making beef chili with kidney beans and vegetables.
Any suggestions on what kind of cheese? Thank you kindly and
I appreciate your help!
A: The all-time favorite cheese to serve with a steaming
bowl of chili is cheddar cheese, personal preference would dictate
whether it be mild, medium or sharp cheddar. Monterey or pepper
Jack cheese would be another good choice. Of course, there is
always that kid-favorite, big block (or individually wrapped
slices) of American processed cheese that melts like no other
cheese around.
