Cheddar and Apple Fondue

Cheddar and Apple FondueA festive cheese fondue spiced with traditional flavors of autumn and winter.

Recipe Ingredients:

1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 cups apple cider
1 (16-ounce) container Wisconsin Cheddar Cold Pack cheese

Accompaniments: Grapes, apples, pears, melon chunks, cubes of pound cake

Cooking Directions:

  1. In a medium saucepan, stir together flour, nutmeg and cinnamon; gradually add apple cider. Cook over medium heat until thickened, stirring occasionally.
  2. Stir in cheese pack until smooth; transfer to fondue pot.
  3. Serve with assorted fruits or pound cake cubes.

Makes 18 servings.
