
A festive cheese fondue
spiced with traditional flavors of autumn.
Cheddar
and Apple Fondue
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 cups apple cider
1 (16-ounce) container Wisconsin Cheddar Cold Pack cheese
Accompaniments: Grapes, apples, pears, melon chunks, cubes of
pound cake
- In a medium saucepan,
stir together flour, nutmeg and cinnamon; gradually add apple
cider. Cook over medium heat until thickened, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in cheese pack until
smooth; transfer to fondue pot.
- Serve with assorted fruits
or pound cake cubes.
