from the 1950s for your crowd. Make a batch ahead and refrigerate,
covered tightly with plastic wrap, up to four hours ahead.

- 32 slices party rye bread
Dijon-style mustard
Prepared horseradish sauce
About 4 ounces thinly sliced ham, cut into 16 pieces
4 (1-ounce) slices Swiss cheese, cut into fourths
4 (1-ounce) slices American cheese, cut into fourths
8 pimiento-stuffed olives
8 cherry tomatoes
- Spread mustard on one
side of 16 bread slices. Spread horseradish on one side of the
remaining 16 slices.
- On 16 slices of bread
spread with the mustard, place a slice Swiss cheese, a ham slice
and a slice of Amercan cheese. Top with the remaining 16 slices
of bread spread with horseradish.
- Divide olives and tomatoes
among cocktail picks and skewer sandwiches.
