Tasty little ham and gruyère cheese puff pastry spirals.

Jones Ham and Gruyère Spirals

1 sheet frozen puff pastry (1/2 of 17.3-ounce package), thawed according to package directions
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
4 Jones Country Carved deli thin slices, or 1/2 cup finely diced Jones Farm Fresh & Tender Dainty Ham or Ham Steaks
1/2 cup (2 ounces) shredded Wisconsin Gruyère or Swiss Cheese
3 tablespoons chopped fresh basil (optional)
1 large egg, beaten
  1. Preheat oven to 400ºF (205ºC). Spray baking sheet lightly with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Place thawed puff pastry on lightly floured surface; spread with mustard. Arrange ham over mustard, leaving 1/2 inch of pastry at top of longer side uncovered. Top with gruyère or Swiss cheese and basil. Starting at longer side, roll up tightly jelly-roll style; pinch seam to seal.
  3. Cut roll into 1/2-inch slices. Place slices on prepared baking sheet about 1 inch apart. Brush tops with beaten egg.
  4. Bake 15 to 17 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.

Makes 18 servings.

Note: For advance preparation, roll can be wrapped and frozen. Thaw at room temperature 30 minutes before slicing and baking as directed above. Or, roll can be wrapped and refrigerated several hours or up to one day in advance before slicing and baking.
