Layered Bean Dip
A delicious layered bean dip you'll be asked to make again and again.
1 (16-ounce) can ORTEGA Refried Beans
1 (4-ounce) can ORTEGA Diced Green Chiles, drained
1 (1.25-ounce) package ORTEGA Taco Seasoning Mix
2 ripe avocados, peeled and pitted
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 (12-ounce) jar ORTEGA Salsa - Thick & Chunky - divided use
1 cup sour cream
1 cup shredded lettuce
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 (2-ounce) can slice black olives
- Mix together the refried beans, green chiles and taco seasoning. Spread on serving plate or in a dish.
- Blend avocados, lemon juice, and 1/2 the salsa until smooth. Spread avocado mixture on top of beans. Spread sour cream on top of avocado mixture.
- Spread the following in order given: lettuce, cheese, remaining salsa, olives.
- Serve with tortilla or corn chips.
Makes 8 appetizer servings.
