Serve from a large plank
using a hollowed red onion filled with limburger and garnished
with parsley.
Limburger
on Slivered Rye
- 1 pound Wisconsin Limburger
cheese
1 medium red onion, thinly sliced
24 party rye bread slices, toasted
2 radishes, thinly sliced
Sprigs of Italian (flat leaf) parsley
- Using a melon baller,
scoop and form small balls from Limburger cheese. Place on onion-topped
party rye bread slices. Garnish with radish slice and a parsley
sprig.
Makes about 50 servings.
