Limburger on Slivered Rye
Serve from a large plank using a hollowed red onion filled with limburger and garnished with parsley.
1 pound Wisconsin Limburger cheese
1 medium red onion, thinly sliced
24 party rye bread slices, toasted
2 radishes, thinly sliced
Sprigs of Italian (flat leaf) parsley
- Using a melon baller, scoop and form small balls from Limburger cheese.
- Place on onion-topped party rye bread slices.
- Garnish with radish slice and a parsley sprig.
Makes about 50 appetizer servings.
