Entertaining and want something new? This minature version of an old favorite is just the thing to serve your guests.
1 (11-ounce) package frozen creamed chipped beef
2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
1/2 cup sauerkraut, well drained
4 green onions, minced
1 large egg, lightly beaten
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 cup Thousand Island dressing
28 rye or pumpernickel cocktail-size bread slices
Vegetable cooking spray
- Thaw creamed chipped beef in microwave at MEDIUM (50% power) 6 to 7 minutes. Stir together creamed chipped beef, cheese, and next 5 ingredients.
- Spread Thousand Island dressing evenly over 1 side of each bread slice; top evenly with beef mixture. Place reubens on baking sheets coated with cooking spray.
- Bake reubens at 375°F (190°C) for 8 to 10 minutes or until puffed and golden.
