Serve this spicy cheese
dip warm with tortilla or corn chips.
Nachos
Fiesta Cheese Dip
- 2 1/4 cups (18 ounces)
Wisconsin Jalapeño Cheddar Cold Pack cheese
1/2 cup milk, heated
1 tablespoon chili powder
1/4 cup sweet green peppers, chopped
1/4 cup sweet red peppers, chopped
1/4 cup scallions (green onions), chopped
- Fresh chopped cilantro
for garnish (optional)
Tortilla chips for accompaniment
- Melt cheese over low heat.
Gradually stir in milk and chili powder. Heat, but do not boil.
- Add red and green peppers,
and scallions, mixing well.
- Serve dip warm with tortilla
chips. If desired, garnish with cilantro.
Makes 6 servings.
Tip: Wisconsin Sharp Cheddar
Cold Pack Cheese plus 1/2 cup drained, minced, pickled jalapeño
peppers can be substituted for the Wisconsin Jalapeño
Cheddar Cold Pack cheese.
