With or without the cooked ground beef or sausage, pizza fondue is a deliciously fun party dish.

Pizza Fondue

8 ounces (about 1/2 pound) lean ground beef or Italian sausage*
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 1/2 cups pizza sauce
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 cup (about 2 ounces) freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup (about 4-ounces) shredded mozzarella cheese
For dipping: Breadsticks and cubes of crusty French or Italian bread
  1. Cook beef and garlic in large saucepan over medium heat until no longer pink. Drain off fat. Stir in pizza sauce and spices. Cook over medium heat until hot, but not boiling.
  2. Combine cheese and stir into meat mixture until melted. Transfer into large serving dish and serve immediately with bread.

Makes 16 servings.

*Note: Can also be prepared without meat for vegetarian dish.
