Serve this delicious smoked
gouda spread with cocktail rye bread or pumpernickel bread slices.
Smoked
Gouda Chive Spread
- 2 cups Wisconsin Smoked
Gouda Cheese, shredded
1/4 cup butter, cubed and softened
1/4 cup fresh chives, snipped
1 tablespoon coarse ground mustard
1 teaspoon prepared horseradish, or to taste
1/4 cup amber or dark beer, room temperature
Cocktail rye or pumpernickel bread slices
- In a large bowl, blend
Wisconsin Smoked Gouda Cheese and butter; mix well.
- Stir in chives, mustard,
horseradish and beer until blended.
- Chill.
- Serve as a spread with
cocktail bread.
Makes 2 1/2 cups.
