Smoky Salmon Spread
A few drops of natural hickory liquid smoke gives this salmon spread its smokiness.
1 (15.5-ounce) can salmon
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1/4 cup thinly sliced green onions
2 to 3 drops natural hickory liquid smoke
Crackers or French bread rounds
- Drain and flake salmon.
- Beat cream cheese with lemon juice with electric mixer until light and fluffy.
- Stir in flaked salmon and green onions until thoroughly combined. Season with liquid smoke to taste. Chill several hours before serving to allow flavors to blend.
- To serve, spread on crackers or French bread rounds.
Makes 20 servings, about 2 1/2 cups spread.
