Bite-sized pieces of fresh pineapple and
banana are perfect vehicles for this decadent almond-flavored
dipping sauce. Also tasty with graham crackers or vanilla wafers.
Strawberry
Amaretto Cheesecake Dip
- 1/2 cup crushed hulled
strawberries
1/4 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
1/4 cup amaretto liqueur
1 cup sour cream
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup finely chopped walnuts
- In a small bowl, combine
strawberries, sugar and amaretto; mix well and set aside.
- Blend cream cheese and
sour cream in a separate bowl until smooth. Add strawberry mixture,
blending well; fold in walnuts. Cover and refrigerate until ready
to serve.
Makes about 3 cups.
