Zesty Nutty Cheese Bites.

The 'zesty' comes from the Szechuan-style pepper blend used to season these nutty cheese bread bites (or sticks).

Zesty Nutty Cheese Bites

1 (16-ounce) package frozen bread or pizza dough
1 1/4 cups (5 ounces) shredded Wisconsin Raclette cheese
1/2 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
1 1/2 teaspoons Szechuan Style pepper blend
  1. Defrost dough according to package directions.
  2. Flatten the dough with a rolling pit to make a 12-inch circle. Sprinkle the remaining ingredients on top. Knead and turn the dough about 10 times to blend the ingredients well.
  3. Divide the dough in half and then into quarters. Roll each quarter to 12-inch length. Snip off into 4-inch pieces and roll or shape into 1-inch balls or 3-inch breadsticks. Place each one on a nonstick or lightly greased baking sheet. Cover and let rise for about 30 minutes.
  4. Bake at 400°F (205°C) for about 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.

Makes 48 servings.
