Buddy McNutty’s Crispy Bars
Add the yummy flavor of peanut butter to an all-American classic — crispy rice cereal treats. (A gluten-free recipe.)
1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
6 cups crisp rice cereal
1 (10-ounce) package marshmallows
3 tablespoons butter
- Lightly grease a 13x9x2-inch pan; set aside.
- Melt butter and marshmallows in large saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly until melted completely. Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter until dissolved. Stir in rice cereal until the cereal is completely coated with the marshmallow mixture.
- Quickly spread mixture into prepared pan. Press mixture into pan until firmly packed. Cool completely. Cut into 24 bars.
Makes 24 bars.
