Peanut butter chips perk up these chocolate cookie bars.

Choco- Nutty Pan Bars

1 1/4 cups butter OR margarine, softened
2 cups granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup unsweetened baking cocoa
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 (12-ounce) package peanut butter chips
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Beat butter and sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking cocoa, baking soda and salt. Blend into the creamed mixture. Stir in peanut butter chips.
  4. Spread the batter into a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish and bake 20 minutes or until the center is set. Cool before cutting.

Makes 16 bars.
