Chocolate Cheesecake Bars

No recipe image available.These dessert bars have a graham cracker crust and a luscious chocolate cheesecake filling.

Recipe Ingredients:

Crust:
1 cup graham cracker crumbs
1/3 cup butter, melted
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar

Filling:
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese
2 large eggs
1/2 cup granulated sugar
3 tablespoons baking cocoa
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Topping:
2 tablespoons butter
1 cup powdered sugar
1 (3-ounce) package cream cheese
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Cooking Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. For Crust: Combine graham crackers, melted butter and brown sugar and press into ungreased 8x8x2-inch baking pan. Bake for 10 minutes.
  3. For Filling: Beat 8 ounces cream cheese and eggs until smooth. Add sugar, cocoa, flour and vanilla, mixing well. Spread over baked crust. Bake for 30 minutes and cool on wire rack to room temperature.
  4. For Topping: Combine remaining butter and cream cheese. Beat until well blended. Add powdered sugar and vanilla. Beat until smooth. Spread over filling. Cut into bars. Keep refrigerated.

Makes 16 bars.
