Easy Cream Cheese Fruit Squares

No recipe image available.These easy dessert squares have a graham cracker crust with a vanilla cheesecake layer topped with canned fruit pie filling.

Recipe Ingredients:

1 cup granulated sugar - divided use
1/3 cup butter
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
3 (8-ounce each) packages cream cheese
4 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 (21-ounce) can fruit pie filling, any flavor

Cooking Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375ºF (175ºC).
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine 1/4 cup sugar and butter; heat until the butter is melted and smooth. Stir in graham cracker crumbs until well mixed. Press evenly over the bottom of a 13x9x2-inch baking pan
  3. In a large bowl with an electric mixer, beat 24-ounces cream cheese until smooth. Gradually beat in 3/4 cup sugar, then eggs, one at a time, and finally vanilla. Spoon pie filling over the crust and top with the cream cheese mixture.
  4. Bake just until set, about 45 to 50 minutes. Cool then chill until cold, about 2 hours before cutting into squares.

Makes 24 squares.
