Two favorites, brownies and cheesecake, are rolled into one recipe. This is made quick and easy by using a mix as the base.

Easy Marble Brownies

1 (21.5-ounce) package brownie mix
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 large egg
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare brownie mix as directed on package and spread in a greased 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
  3. In a medium bowl, beat together cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla with an electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Add egg; mix until blended. Pour over brownie mixture; cut through batter with knife several times for marble effect. Sprinkle with chips.
  4. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until cream cheese mixture is lightly browned. Cool in pan on wire rack. Cut into squares.

Makes 24 bars.
