Two favorites, brownies and cheesecake, are rolled into one recipe. This is made quick and easy by using a mix as the base.
Easy Marble Brownies
- 1 (21.5-ounce) package brownie mix
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 large egg
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare brownie mix as directed on package and spread in a greased 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
- In a medium bowl, beat together cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla with an electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Add egg; mix until blended. Pour over brownie mixture; cut through batter with knife several times for marble effect. Sprinkle with chips.
- Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until cream cheese mixture is lightly browned. Cool in pan on wire rack. Cut into squares.
Makes 24 bars.
