Quickly change up a box of plain brownie mix into a festive dessert with the addition of yogurt and a jar of maraschino cherries.
1 (21.5 to 22.5-ounce) package brownie mix
1 (8-ounce) container plain low-fat yogurt
1 (10-ounce) jar maraschino cherries, drained
- Prepare brownie mix according to package directions, adding yogurt with liquid ingredients; mix well. Stir in cherries. Spoon batter into greased and floured 13x9x2-inch baking pan. Make sure cherries are evenly distributed.
- Bake in a preheated 350°F (160°C) oven 28 to 30 minutes. Do not over-bake. Brownies will be moist and cannot be tested with wooden pick.
Makes 24 bars.
