Peanut Butter Cereal Treats

Plastic wrap
4 cups puffed rice cereal
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  1. Pour puffed rice cereal into a large bowl. In a medium saucepan, combine sugar and light corn syrup. Stirring occasionally, bring to a boil over medium heat, and boil for 1 minute. Remove from the heat.
  2. Add creamy peanut butter; stir until completely melted. Pour over the cereal and stir to coat well. Press evenly into 9 x 9-inch pan lined with plastic wrap. Cool about 15 minutes. Invert onto a cutting board and remove the plastic wrap. Cut into squares.

Makes 16 bars.
