Sirloin steak beef cubes are marinated in an Asian-style marinade, threaded on bambo skewers and broiled to perfection.

Beef Skewers

1/2 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 garlic clove, crushed
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 teaspoon sesame seed
2 green onions, chopped
1 pound sirloin steak, cubed
20 bamboo skewers
  1. In a loaf pan, combine soy sauce, lemon juice, sugar, crushed garlic clove, ginger, oil, sesame seed, and finely chopped green onions.
  2. Thread diced sirloin steak on bamboo skewers. Place the skewered meat in the marinade; turning to coat all sides. Cover and refrigerate for 4 hours. Drain and discard marinade.
  3. Arrange on a broiler pan and broil 5 to 8-inches from the heat. Broil for about 2 minutes; turn and cook 1 minute longer, or until done.

Makes 8 servings.

Note: You can also grill the beef skewers.
