Slow-Cooked Steak and Gravy
Toss all the ingredients into your slow cooker in the morning, leave for work or play all day...and return home to a warm and hearty, ready-to-eat entrée. Serve over hot rice or buttered noodles.
3 pounds round steak
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 onion, chopped
1 (10.75-ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom
1 package dry onion soup mix
1/4 cup water
Hot cooked rice or buttered noodles for accompaniment
- Trim fat and cut round steak into serving sizes. Sprinkle the meat with garlic powder and pepper.
- Place meat in a slow-cooker or crockpot and add onion, mushroom soup, soup mix and water. Cook on low 6 to 8 hours.
- Serve hot over cooked rice or buttered noodles.
Makes 6 servings.
