Hot Buttered Rum

No recipe image available.Warm up on a cold autumn or winter's day with a cup of hot, buttery spiced apple cider pleasingly spiked with rum.

Recipe Ingredients:

2 quarts apple cider or apple juice
2 cups packed brown sugar
4 sticks cinnamon
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup rum

Cooking Directions:

  1. Simmer cider or juice, sugar and cinnamon 15 to 20 minutes.
  2. Add butter and rum and simmer another 10 minutes.
  3. Serve hot.

Makes 8 servings.
