Hot Buttered Rum

No recipe image available.This spirited beverage is hot, buttery and comforting, especially when the weather outside is cold.

Recipe Ingredients:

2 tablespoons brown sugar, firmly packed
1 1/2 cups water
1 1/2 cups dark rum
6 tablespoons butter, softened

Cooking Directions:

  1. Place brown sugar and water into a medium saucepan and heat to boiling.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in rum and butter, mixing well.
  3. Pour into mugs and sprinkle with freshly grated nutmeg. Serve at once.

Makes 4 servings.
