Apple cider and white grape juice, simmered with spiced crab apples and cinnamon sticks, is spiked with Southern Comfort and served in mugs with a crab apple floating on top.

Punched-Up Hot Cider

6 cups (48-ounces) apple cider or juice
3 cups (24-ounces) white grape juice
1 (16-ounce) jar spiced crab apples
5-inch stick of cinnamon, broken
1 cup Southern Comfort
  1. In Dutch oven or large cooking pot, heat apple cider with grape juice, undrained crab apples and cinnamon. Bring to a boil; cover and simmer 10 minutes.
  2. Remove broken cinnamon and discard. Remove crab apples; reserve for the garnish. Stir in whiskey.
  3. Ladle in mugs and float an apple on top.

Makes 23 (1/2 cup) servings.
