A festive spiced cranberry punch, served
chilled, for the holidays.
Spiced Cranberry
Punch
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons whole cloves
- 3 (3-inch) sticks cinnamon
- 2 quarts cranberry juice cocktail, chilled
- 1 (46-ounce) can pineapple juice, chilled
- 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
- 2 quarts ginger ale, chilled
- Combine first 4 ingredients in a saucepan;
bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 to 12 minutes.
Remove from heat and set aside to cool completely. Strain, discarding
cloves and cinnamon sticks.
- To serve, combine spiced syrup with the
juices and ginger ale in a punch bowl, mixing well.
Makes 7 quarts.
