Spiced Cranberry Punch
A festive, chilled spiced cranberry punch for the holidays.
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup water
2 tablespoons whole cloves
3 (3-inch) sticks cinnamon
2 quarts cranberry juice cocktail, chilled
1 (46-ounce) can pineapple juice, chilled
1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
2 quarts ginger ale, chilled
- Combine first 4 ingredients in a saucepan; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside to cool completely. Strain, discarding cloves and cinnamon sticks.
- To serve, combine spiced syrup with the juices and ginger ale in a punch bowl, mixing well.
Makes 48 (1/2 cup) servings.
