Spicy Apple Eggnog

No recipe image available.A spirited, cinnamon-kissed egg nog spiked with apple brandy.

Recipe Ingredients:

2 large eggs, beaten
3 cups milk
2 cups light cream or half-and-half
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Dash salt
3/4 cup apple brandy
Ground nutmeg

Cooking Directions:

  1. In a large saucepan, combine the beaten eggs, milk, light cream or half-and-half, sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture is slightly thickened and heated through, but do not boil.
  2. Remove from heat; stir in the apple brandy.
  3. To serve, ladle the mixture into 12 heat-proof glasses or cups. Sprinkle each serving with nutmeg. Serve warm.

Makes 12 servings.
