Multi-Grain Buttermilk Bread

No recipe image available.A hearty, multi-grain buttermilk yeast bread. This recipe was written for use with bread machines.

Recipe Ingredients:

1 1/4 cups buttermilk
1 1/2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons honey
1 1/2 cups plus 2 tablespoons white bread flour
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1/3 cups cracked wheat
1/4 cup cornmeal
3 tablespoons gluten
2 tablespoons wheat germ
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
3 teaspoons active dry yeast

Cooking Directions:

  1. Place ingredients in the bread machine pan in the order suggested by the manufacturer.
  2. Select Basic bread cycle and start machine.

Makes 1 (1 1/2 pound) loaf.
