A white yeast bread with an Italian flair, made with ready-made basil pesto, pine nuts and white wine. A recipe for bread machines.

Pesto Bread

1 large egg
1/4 cup dry white wine
1 clove garlic
3 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 cup basil pesto sauce
1/3 cup water
2 tablespoons water
3 cups bread flour
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 tablespoon salt
2 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast
1/2 cup pine nuts
  1. Place all the ingredients except the pine nuts in the machine according to manufacturers directions.
  2. Set for sweet bread and press start. When the beeper sounds, add the pine nuts.

Makes one (1 1/2 pound) loaf.
