A hearty potato yeast bread made with whole
wheat, mashed potatoes and flavored with sour cream and chives.
A recipe for bread machines.
Potato Chive Bread
- 2 tablespoons sour cream
1 large egg
1/2 cup mashed potatoes
1/4 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup water
1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives, or 1 teaspoon dried
chives
2 cups white bread flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 scant tablespoon active dry yeast
- Place ingredients in the bread machine
pan in the order suggested by the manufacturer.
- Select Basic bread cycle, and start machine.
Makes one (1 1/2 pound) loaf.
