Final results of this recipe are more that of a sweet, light-textured bread than the cake-like texture of a traditional Sally Lunn. A recipe for bread machines.
1 cup warm milk
1 large egg, room temperature
3 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup granulated sugar
3 cups white bread flour
1 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- Place ingredients in the bread machine pan in the order suggested by the manufacturer.
- Select Sweet bread cycle and Light Crust; start machine.
Makes 1 (1 1/2 pound) loaf.
