Savory Cheddar Muffins
These easy, cheesy cheddar and raisin muffins are terrific for any meal of the day.
2 cups all purpose flour
3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon paprika
1/4 cup butter or vegetable shortening
1 large egg, beaten
1 cup milk
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
2/3 cup California Raisins
- Sift the flour with the baking powder, salt and paprika. Cut in butter until mixture resembles fine crumbs. Stir in remaining ingredients until just moistened.
- Spoon into well-greased muffin pans.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 425°F (220°C) for 25 minutes.
Makes 12 muffins.
