There's nothing quite like the tangy taste of a warm slice of sourdough bread, and it makes great sandwiches, too. This recipe is written for bread machines.
1 1/4 cups sourdough starter
3/4 cup warm water
4 cups bread flour
1 3/4 teaspoons salt
3 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 3/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- Place ingredients in the bread machine pan in the order suggested by the manufacturer.
- Select Basic bread cycle and start machine.
Makes 1 (2 pound) loaf.
