Sourdough Discard Honey Whole Wheat Bread
Enjoying the taste of homemade sourdough bread, or any bread for that matter, has never been easier thanks to the use of a bread machine.
Recipe Ingredients:
1 cup water
2/3 cup sourdough discard (unfed starter)
1/2 cup honey
1 1/2 tablespoons vegetable oil
4 cups whole wheat bread flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 (0.25-ounce) packet active dry yeast, or 2 1/4 teaspoons
Cooking Directions:
- Place ingredients in the bread machine pan in the order suggested by the manufacturer.
- Select Whole Wheat bread cycle and start machine.
Makes 1 (2 pound) loaf.
