Sourdough Discard Oatmeal Bread
A hearty oat yeast bread with the tangy flavor of sourdough. This recipe was written for use with bread machines.
Recipe Ingredients:
1 3/4 cup sourdough discard (unfed starter)
2 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
3/4 cup rolled oats
2 1/4 cups bread flour
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast
Cooking Directions:
- Place ingredients in the bread machine pan in the order suggested by the manufacturer.
- Select Basic bread cycle and start machine.
Makes 1 (2 pound) loaf.
