Banola Breakfast

Banola BreakfastServe this wholesome and nutritious homemade granola with sliced bananas and milk or yogurt.

Recipe Ingredients:

3 cups rolled oats
1 cup wheat germ
1 cup shredded coconut
1 cup walnuts, chopped coarsely
1/4 cup sesame seeds
1/2 cup honey
3 tablespoons molasses
1 cup raisins
Bananas (or other fresh fruit) for accompaniment
Milk or yogurt for accompaniment

Cooking Directions:

  1. In 14 x 10 x 2-inch roasting pan, combine all ingredients except raisins, bananas and milk; mix well.
  2. Bake in a preheated oven at 300°F (150°C) until golden brown, about 40 minutes, stirring several times.
  3. Stir in raisins. Cool.
  4. Store in airtight container.
  5. Serve with sliced bananas and milk or yogurt.

Makes 7 1/4 cups granola.
