
Chocolate waffles topped
with sweetened sliced strawberries and whipped cream make a very
special breakfast or dessert.

Waffles
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Baking Cocoa
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 large eggs
1 cup buttermilk
1/4 cup butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- Optional Toppings:
Butter
Maple syrup
- Chocolate syrup
- Sweetened whipped cream
- Sweetened and sliced strawberries
- In a bowl combine flour,
sugar, unsweetened baking cocoa, baking powder, baking soda,
and salt; mix well. Add eggs and buttermilk; mix until just blended.
Add melted butter, beating constantly. Stir in vanilla.
- Bake in a waffle iron
according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Serve with desired toppings.
