Country Sausage Pie

No recipe image available.A great-tasting, quick and easy breakfast pie. The crust is made with a biscuit baking mix.

Recipe Ingredients:

1 pound sausage, casings removed
1 onion, peeled and chopped
1 green pepper, seeded and chopped
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup all-purpose baking mix
2 large eggs

Cooking Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C). Grease a 9-inch pie plate.
  2. In a large skillet, cook sausage, onion and green pepper, breaking up sausage, until sausage is brown. Drain thoroughly. Spread in pie pan and sprinkle with cheese.
  3. Stir together baking mix and eggs with a fork until blended. Pour over cheese.
  4. Bake 25 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.

Makes 6 servings.
