German Puffed Pancake with Spiced Fruit
Try this delicious puffed pancake with fruit for brunch.
3 large eggs
1 cup milk
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons butter, divided use
6 apples, sliced
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C).
- Combine eggs, milk, flour, and salt in a medium bowl. Beat for 3 minutes with an electric mixer.
- In an oven-safe skillet, melt 2 tablespoons butter and add the batter. Bake about 15 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 350°F (175°C), and bake 10 minutes more, or until browned. Remove from the oven.
- Meanwhile, melt 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium heat; add sliced apples, sugar, and cinnamon. Sauté until the fruit is soft. Spread over the warm pancake.
