Hot Apple Pie Sandwiches.

Tender slices of apple seasoned with a sprinkling of cinnamon are enriched with cheddar cheese and encased between toasted bread. A great snack to satisfy and energize your body.

Hot Apple Pie Sandwiches

1 (12-ounce) package frozen escalloped apples, defrosted according to package directions
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
8 slices white bread, lightly toasted
4 slices cheddar or American cheese, each cut into 4 strips
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
  1. Combine apples and cinnamon in small bowl.
  2. Place cheese strips on outside perimeter of 4 slices of bread. Spoon apple mixture evenly into centers of each. Top with remaining slices of bread; press down slightly. Brush sandwiches with butter.
  3. Broil on each side until golden brown and cheese is melted.

Makes 4 servings.
