Yankee Grits
- 1 pound Italian sausage
1 pound regular breakfast sausage
1 large green pepper, chopped fine
1 large onion chopped; vidalia or other sweet onion is
preferable
6 servings old fashioned grits, prepared according to package
directions
Butter to taste
- Brown and drain sausage.
- Cook grits with salt, pepper and butter
according to package directions. Stir in green pepper and onions.
Add browned sausage and cheese and stir until cheese melts.
Makes 6 servings.
As an entrée, serves 6. As a side
dish, serves 12.
