Brown Sugar Frosting
- 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons butter
1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1/4 cup milk
1 1/2 cups sifted powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Place butter and brown sugar in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil over low heat, stirring constantly. Slowly add milk, and boil for 2 more minutes. Cool.
- Stir in powdered sugar and vanilla. Beat until smooth and creamy.
Makes about 3 cups frosting.
