A good, basic cream cheese frosting to add to your repertoire.

Cream Cheese Frosting

1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup butter

2 teaspoons vanilla extract
4 cups powdered sugar

1. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, butter and vanilla until well blended. Gradually add powdered sugar, beating to spreading consistency.
2. Spread frosting on a cooled cake.

Makes makes enough frostiing to fill and frost a 2 (9-inch) layer cake or 13 x 9-inch cake.
